  • FIXED: The GFI MailEssentials Scan Engine crashed during processing of the BATV part of the envelop sender.
  • FIXED: Certain crashes in the GFI MailEssentials Scan Engine were not being recovered from successfully, and these were leading to queuing issues since GFI MailEssentials would stop processing emails.
  • FIXED: Temporary files used for public folder training were not being deleted when public folder training fails to process an email.
  • FIXED: The action for moving emails to Exchange mailbox sub-folders was failing to move emails destined to mailboxes of users found on trusted domains.
  • FIXED: The action for moving emails to Exchange mailbox sub-folders failed to move non-delivery reports to the recipient inbox.
  • FIXED: When searching using the “Sender or Recipient” option, the Quarantine search functionality was not displaying the quarantined emails which were destined to recipient aliases. The fix will now display results for both primary and alias email addresses for users in any trusted domain within a forest.
  • FIXED: The GFI POP2Exchange service crashed when processing an email’s message body which is separated from headers using an unexpected sequence of characters.
  • FIXED: On installing GFI MailEssentials in SMTP mode, the event log would contain Microsoft.VC80.CRT missing errors.
  • FIXED: Temporary files being created and used during processing of emails in TNEF\RTF emails were not being deleted.
  • FIXED: The whitelist and blocklist remote commands were not working due to an incorrect value being set in database when processing these commands.
  • FIXED: The user picker used in the configuration was not setting all users with the <domain>\user or <machine name>\user format, and this led to issues when detecting users from local or alternate domains.
  • FIXED: The greylist functionality which excludes whitelisted emails from being processed by Greylist was not excluding email addresses of type “Recipient” and “Sender”.
  • FIXED: The whitelist & email blocklist import functionality in the configuration was failing to import lists exported using GFI MailEssentials 2010 SR1 or earlier builds.
  • FIXED: The public folder training functionality was not processing emails moved to the “Add to Whitelist” and “Add to Blocklist” folders.
  • FIXED: Searching in the quarantine by specifying “Last day” and “Sender\recipient” criteria would return all emails and not emails of last day.
  • FIXED: Both spam & quarantine digest emails were not being sent to users which belong to domains other than that on which GFI MailEssentials is installed.
  • FIXED: The quarantine user interface did not support log-on of users configured as administrators which were part of domains outside of the domain in which GFI MailEssentials is installed.
  • FIXED: The compression\decompression of data synchronized by the anti-spam synchronization agent was very time consuming when synchronizing a considerable amount of data between GFI MailEssentials instances.
  • FIXED: The whitelist & blocklist functionality did not process emails whose MIME FROM email is character encoded.
  • FIXED: The header checking functionality blocked emails whos's MIME FROM email is character encoded, even though the email wouldn’t be a spam email.
  • FIXED: Users who preview or approve quarantined emails from the quarantine digest email were required to specify credentials each time an email is previewed or approved.
  • FIXED: Some quarantine administrators were not allowed access to the quarantine user interface due to incorrect searching of users in Active Directory.
  • FIXED: The POP2Exchange functionality was only downloading emails from the 1st mailbox configured in the POP2Exchange configuration.
  • FIXED: The POP2Exchange functionality would hang if more than 64 mailboxes are set in the POP2Exchange configuration.
  • FIXED: An incorrect sender email address was being shown in quarantine for emails being downloaded through POP2Exchange.
